Walton County Composite Squadron Community Day
The Walton County composite squadron will be hosting a community involvement event on March 4, 2017 from 10am to 2pm, to reach out to the local community in a fun filled format for ages 12 and up. All minor participants need to have completed waiver in hand, and adult participation is required for any minor under the age of 16. This community based event is to introduce Civil Air Patrol to the local community, explain who we are and what we do in a fun and hands on way. We will be hosting many events, where each community participant will be able to exercise their leadership, problem solving skills and teamwork abilities. We cordially invite you to attend! Event will be at the Monroe airport, main gate on Towler st. A waiver, available for print out on this same website must be completed for all participants. Both boys and girls are welcome- ages 12 and up, regardless of ability or disability. We are an auxiliary of the United States Air Force, but participants are under no obligation to join any branch of the military.
All participants will need to wear weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or athletic shoes (no heels or boots one cannot walk comfortably on rough terrain in) and bring a sack lunch. All intended participants will need to reserve space by emailing their name, phone number, age of participants and number of participants to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than March 2, 2017.
Safety briefing, and “out brief” with a question answer session will open and close event. We hope to see you there!

As the official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, the Civil Air Patrol is an all volunteer organization made-up of people like you, seeking opportunities to give-back to their country and community.
For over 70 years, the Civil Air Patrol has contributed to homeland security, saved lives and property through Emergency Services, promoted Aerospace Education and supported the development of our youth with Cadet Programs. CAP performs 95% of our nation’s inland search and rescue missions and saved approximately 85 lives in FY 2014. We operate the largest fleet of single-engine, piston aircraft in the world and our over 60,000 trained members fly more than 120,000 hours every year.
